Montagetips
- Mandatory lower manifold cushion renewal: Never reuse hardened lower manifold rubber cushions; hardened rubber permits unmetered air intrusion, causing persistent P0171 lean codes.
- Verify injector free rotation: After torquing the fuel rail nuts, verify that each injector rotates smoothly between fingers to ensure O-rings are seated without twisting.
- Never use silicone sealants: Lubricate O-rings strictly with fresh engine oil or spindle oil; silicone will permanently contaminate lambda sensors.
- Prime fuel circuit prior to cranking: Turn ignition switch to ON (Position II) for 3 seconds twice without cranking to pressurize the rail and check for leaks.
