Product Overview

WORKSHOP NOTICEECU Calibration / IMA Coding Required

This injector requires 6-8 digit calibration code programming (IMA / QR code) into the vehicle ECU (using Bosch KTS, Lexia/Diagbox or equivalent diagnostic equipment) following replacement to balance cylinder fuel delivery and prevent DTC P0300 misfire codes.

The Bosch 0261500055 (VW/Audi OE 06F906036F / 06F906036G) is the genuine original equipment high-flow direct fuel injector for VAG 2.0 TFSI EA113 performance engines equipped with BorgWarner K04 turbochargers. Standard factory equipment on the Volkswagen Golf R (MK6), Audi S3 (8P), Audi TTS, and SEAT Leon Cupra R, this multi-hole solenoid injector delivers high-pressure atomization up to 130 bar. Typical failure symptoms include cold-start stumbling, black smoke on kickdown, and cylinder misfire codes P0300 through P0304.

Before You Order

COLD START CYLINDER WASH & INJECTOR TIP WEEPING: On performance EA113 2.0 TFSI engines (Golf R, S3, Cupra R), direct fuel injectors operate under continuous 130 bar rail pressure. Varnish buildup causes the injector needle to stick weeping open overnight. This floods the combustion chamber with raw gasoline, washing cylinder bore oil (Cylinder Wash), causing violent morning cold misfires (P0300, P0301), and damaging the catalytic converter. Always install a fresh Teflon combustion seal ring using a cone installation tool.

Matched High-Pressure Fuel Pump (Fuel Circuit Assembly)

Operates on the same high-pressure rail circuit. When troubleshooting low rail pressure (DTC P0087), verify pump volumetric delivery before replacing injectors.

Installation Tips

Tools needed: VW/Audi T10133 Teflon seal installation guide cone and sizing sleeves, Slide hammer injector removal adapter T10133/1, Torque wrench calibrated for 8-15 N·m, Brass bore cleaning brush and lint-free cotton swabs, Clean engine oil or assembly lube for Viton rail O-rings

  1. Disconnect battery negative terminal; relieve low-pressure fuel circuit pressure before intake disassembly.
  2. Remove intake manifold to gain full access to high-pressure fuel rail and cylinder head injector ports.
  3. Disconnect electrical wiring harness connectors from all four GDI injectors.
  4. Remove fuel rail retaining bolts; extract fuel rail assembly evenly to prevent cocking injectors.
  5. Attach slide hammer puller T10133/1 to injector body; extract injector straight out of cylinder head bore.
  6. Clean carbon soot from injector cylinder head bore using brass brush and vacuum; never use steel tools.
  7. Remove old Teflon seal; expand new virgin Teflon ring over guide cone into injector seal groove.
  8. Slide sizing sleeve over Teflon ring and allow 5 minutes for Teflon memory recovery to shrink seal to diameter.
  9. Lubricate Viton upper O-ring with clean motor oil; insert injector into cylinder head bore by hand pressure.
  10. Reinstall fuel rail assembly; torque rail hold-down bolts evenly in stages to 10 N·m.
  11. Reinstall intake manifold with fresh gaskets; reconnect fuel lines and wiring connectors.
  12. Cycle ignition 3 times to prime system; start engine and inspect for fuel mist or combustion blow-by.
Tips & Warnings:
  • Teflon Seal Resizing Mandate: Never stretch Teflon seals with fingers; always use the T10133 cone and sizing sleeve to prevent combustion blow-by.
  • Bore Carbon Cleaning: Thoroughly clean injector bore carbon deposits before installing new injectors; carbon debris prevents proper seal seating.
  • Even Rail Torquing: Torque fuel rail retaining bolts evenly in cross-pattern to prevent side-loading injector bodies.

Diagnostic Trouble Codes & Fault Protocols

Common diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) triggered when this common rail injector experiences wear, circuit faults, or calibration drift:

P0087Critical

Fuel Rail / System Pressure Too Low

Excessive internal backleak from worn control valve seats drops common rail pressure below target under engine load.

P0201 - P0208High

Injector Circuit Malfunction / Open Circuit

Solenoid coil resistance drift (0.2-0.5 Ω) or piezo stack degradation triggers driver stage shutdown on affected cylinders.

P0300 / P0301+High

Cylinder Misfire & Balancing Deviation

Carbon-clogged nozzle spray holes or missing IMA calibration causes uneven cylinder contribution. Recode ECM and verify washer seating.

P0088High

Fuel Rail / System Pressure Too High

Spill line backpressure or stuck metering valve prevents rail depressurization, creating overpressure risks under load.
