Formula Derivation & Exact Factors

  • Pressure: 1 Bar = 14.503774 PSI = 0.1 MPa = 100 kPa
  • Flow Rate (Metric): 1 L/h = 1,000 cc / 60 min ≈ 16.6667 cc/min
  • Flow Rate (US Volume): 1 US Gallon = 3.785411784 Litres (1 GPH ≈ 3.7854 L/h ≈ 63.09 cc/min)

Workshop Safety & Calibration Rule

Never crack open fuel lines on modern Common Rail systems while running. Even at idle (250-300 Bar / 3,600+ PSI), diesel jet penetration through skin can cause severe hydraulic injection injuries. Always relieve rail pressure before physical disconnect.
