Installation Tips
Tips & Warnings:
- Inspect engine oil immediately for fuel dilution: Internal diaphragm leakage allows unburnt gasoline into the cylinder head, diluting oil, raising dipstick level, and ruining rod bearings.
- Always change engine oil and filter: If fuel odor is detected on the dipstick or P0087 was stored, perform an immediate complete engine oil and filter service.
- Counter-hold pump outlet fitting: Never torque high-pressure flare line without securing the pump housing fitting with a counter-holding wrench.
- Prime fuel circuit prior to ignition: Switch ignition ON for 10 seconds without starting to prime low-pressure feed and purge air pockets from the pump.

Diagnostic Trouble Codes & Fault Protocols
Common diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) triggered when this common rail injector experiences wear, circuit faults, or calibration drift:
P0087Critical
Fuel Rail / System Pressure Too Low
Excessive internal backleak from worn control valve seats drops common rail pressure below target under engine load.
P0201 - P0208High
Injector Circuit Malfunction / Open Circuit
Solenoid coil resistance drift (0.2-0.5 Ω) or piezo stack degradation triggers driver stage shutdown on affected cylinders.
P0300 / P0301+High
Cylinder Misfire & Balancing Deviation
Carbon-clogged nozzle spray holes or missing IMA calibration causes uneven cylinder contribution. Recode ECM and verify washer seating.
P0088High
Fuel Rail / System Pressure Too High
Spill line backpressure or stuck metering valve prevents rail depressurization, creating overpressure risks under load.
