Product Overview

The BOSCH 0445110137 is a complete injector assembly for Mercedes-Benz OM646 engine family - the second-generation CRI2 solenoid-actuated common rail fuel system used across the Vito (W639), Viano (W639), E-Class (W211), C-Class (W203/W204), and Sprinter (T1N). The F00VC01328 control valve operates via a precision solenoid with 3-6 micron clearance, regulating fuel flow for stable multi-pulse injection at up to 1350 bar peak rail pressure. The OE nozzle DLLA153P1246 (internal Bosch code 0433171788) is a multi-hole P-type nozzle delivering fine fuel atomisation for clean combustion. Compatible with OM646 (2.1L, 60-90 kW, Vito/Viano/W211) and OM647 (2.7L, 75-110 kW, Sprinter T1N) variants. Mercedes OE A6460700187 (also A6460700287 for sister 0445110139, A6470700187 for Sprinter 2.7L). Bosch aftermarket exchange 0986435113 (also 0986435109 / 0986435114 for sister SKUs).

Before You Order

Verify engine code OM646 on the block and OE number A6460700187 on the injector body before ordering. 0445110137 shares the F00VC01328 control-valve group with sister SKUs 0445110138, 0445110139, 0445110140, 0445110191, 0445110192, 0445110263, 0445110264 but each carries a unique IMA calibration code - NOT interchangeable without ECU re-coding.

Installation Tips

  • Depressurise fuel system: remove fuel pump fuse, crank engine until it stalls, disconnect battery negative.
  • Remove engine cover; disconnect injector electrical connectors - tag each with cylinder number (1-4).
  • Remove HP fuel rail: use correct flare nut wrenches on banjo bolts.
  • Remove the two hold-down bolts per injector (OM646/OM647 uses TWO bolts, not one).
  • Extract old injector; inspect bore for carbon deposits or corrosion; check nozzle tip for Black Death carbon buildup.
  • Check solenoid resistance with multimeter: normal 0.5-2.0 Ohm cold; open circuit or > 3 Ohm = replace.
  • Fit new copper washer (top) and O-ring (bottom) on new 0445110137.
  • Apply thread sealant (Loctite 243) to hold-down bolt threads.
  • Insert injector straight; install clamp; hand-tighten two bolts evenly.
  • Torque hold-down bolts: Stage 1 = 10 N m (criss-cross); Stage 2 = 25 N m final.
  • WARNING Two bolts must be tightened evenly - tilt > 0.5 mm cracks the ceramic nozzle tip.
  • Reconnect HP rail banjo bolts, then injector harness; ensure connector seals are seated.
  • Prime fuel system: hand pump 3x, crank 5 sec, check for leaks at banjo joints.
  • With Star Diagnostic (SDS): Motor Electronics -> Injection -> Code Cylinders -> enter 4-digit IMA code.
  • Clear fault codes; road test 10-15 minutes; monitor for rough idle, MIL, or black smoke.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common fault codes: P0201-P0204 (cylinder 1-4 injector circuit faults), P0300-P0304 (random misfire from worn valve or Black Death carbon buildup), and P0600-P0605 (ECU internal faults from voltage fluctuation). The OM646/OM647 is known for 'Black Death' - carbon buildup on the nozzle tip from short-distance cycles. This causes white smoke at idle and black smoke under load. Diagnosis: remove injector and inspect nozzle tip - if carbon is visible, replace as a set.

Verify: (1) Engine code - look for 'OM 646.982' stamped on the engine block; (2) OE part number - 0445110137 stamped on the injector body; (3) Connector - OM646/OM647 uses a 2-pin push-fit Deutsch connector. Cross-reference: A6460700187 = OM646 (2.1L Vito/Viano/E-Class); A6470700187 = OM647 (2.7L Sprinter T1N). Both use the same 0445110137 physical injector but different OE stampings.

Both share F00VC01328 valve and nozzle 0433171788. 0445110137 = primary OE part; 0445110138 = alternative exchange number. Interchangeable mechanically - but the IMA code stamped on the solenoid body must match the ECU's expected value for that specific vehicle application.

OM646 (2.1L, 60-90 kW) and OM647 (2.7L, 75-110 kW) use the same 0445110137 physical injector but different IMA calibration codes. OM647 (Sprinter T1N) operates at slightly higher rail pressure (~1350 bar vs ~1200 bar for OM646). Installing from one to the other may work mechanically but will cause fuel metering errors - the ECU will flag a fault until it learns the new injector.

Mercedes-Benz procedure: (1) Apply thread sealant; (2) Pre-torque to 10 N m (criss-cross); (3) Final torque to 25 N m. WARNING OM646/OM647 uses TWO hold-down bolts per injector - tighten evenly to avoid tilting the injector body. Tilt > 0.5 mm contacts the piston and cracks the ceramic tip.

Yes - mandatory on all OM646/OM647 engines. Use Star Diagnostic (SDS), HHT, or Autel with DAS/Xentry. Navigate to Motor Electronics -> Injection -> Code Cylinders -> enter the 4-digit IMA code from the new injector label. Without coding, the ECU stores P0300 for 10-15 minutes. Workshop time: 45-90 minutes including road test.

Standard warranty: 12 months from invoice date. Covers: solenoid open-circuit, control valve seizure, nozzle blockage. Voided by: (1) cracked nozzle tip from tilted insertion; (2) Black Death carbon damage; (3) fuel contamination; (4) missing ECU coding; (5) bio-diesel above B7. Keep Star Diagnostic coding report as warranty evidence.

No - 0445110140 is for the OM648 engine family (3.0L, W211 E320 CDI post-2005), which uses a different injector design with updated solenoid and different rail pressure. 0445110137 is NOT interchangeable with OM648 injectors. Verify engine code on the block.

Black Death is carbon buildup on the injector nozzle tip from repeated short journeys that never fully heat the combustion chamber. Symptoms: white smoke at cold idle, black smoke under load, then P0300. Prevention: occasional 30+ minute motorway runs. If Black Death is present, replace all 4 injectors as a set - individual replacement won't resolve the issue. 0445110137 will restore proper spray pattern if the engine is otherwise healthy.
